Fighter jets to fly over KU’s Memorial Stadium before football game Saturday
LAWRENCE — Two United States Air Force F-16 jets will fly over Memorial Stadium at the University of Kansas at approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, just before kickoff of the football game against Kansas State University.
The flyover is provided by the 132nd Air National Guard Fighter Wing based out of Des Moines, Iowa. The pilots are Lt. Col. Grant Gooch, who graduated from KU in 1991, and Capt. Greg Bartelma, who graduated from KU in 2001. Cadet Justin Davis, a member of KU’s Air Force ROTC program, helped organize the flyover.
The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
