KU School of Law ranks among nation’s best
LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Law is one of the nation’s top law schools, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features KU in its 2007 edition of Best 170 Law Schools.
The publication praises the school for its “unique, diverse and deeply talented faculty.” Students surveyed also lauded the one-on-one attention they receive from professors.
“An open-door policy is the norm, not an exception. The professors play valuable mentoring roles to the students, creating relationships with students that last into their professional careers,” one student wrote.
Student opportunities also set the KU School of Law apart from other schools. According to the student survey, “opportunities for practical experience abound, including many clinical programs and an outstanding number of clerkship and internship opportunities.”
The Princeton Review compiled the list based on its surveys of students and institutional data from the schools. The survey asked students 80 questions about themselves, their career plans and their school’s academics, student body and campus life.
The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
