KU announces names of more than 800 summer 2006 graduates

LAWRENCE — More than 800 students received degrees from the University of Kansas after the 2006 summer session, according to KU Registrar Cindy Derritt, who announced the names of the new graduates today.

Because KU conducts only one formal commencement ceremony each year, many of these graduates will return as members of the Class of 2007 to take part in commencement exercises May 20.

Graduates are listed below by home county, state or country, degree, major, level in school, gender, parents’ names and high school information (when available).

The summer graduates represent 46 counties in Kansas, 35 other states and U.S. territories, and 22 countries outside the United States.

Note: KU offers about 75 undergraduate and 165 graduate degrees. Abbreviations for the more common ones are used with the major or majors when applicable. If no major is listed, the name of the major is in the name of the degree. The key:
