Media advisory: Faculty and staff convocation at KU set for Thursday

WHAT: University of Kansas faculty and staff convocation

WHEN: 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7

WHO: KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway and Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Richard Lariviere will address university faculty and staff about priorities for the coming academic year. This will be the first time Lariviere, who joined KU this summer, will address faculty and staff members at a convocation. Winners of the 2006 Distinguished Teaching Award, Budig Awards, Higuchi Awards and the Provost’s Award for Leadership in International Education Award will also be announced.

WHERE: 130 Budig Hall, Lawrence campus
