KU Hawk Talk to visit high school seniors in Johnson County on Sept. 13

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas admissions staff are coming to Johnson County to meet with high school seniors and their parents for a Senior Hawk Talk night at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the south entrance of Regnier Hall on the KU Edwards Campus. 12600 Quivira Road, Overland Park.

KU alumnus John Holt from Fox4 News and Nick Sterner, KU senior and immediate past president of the KU student body, will host a formal program at 7:30 p.m. Sterner, majoring in political science and psychology at KU, is a graduate of Mill Valley High School in Shawnee. Reservations to attend may be made online.

Representatives from admissions and scholarships and about 20 academic departments and other offices will be on hand to answer questions and offer information about KU programs.

The KU Alumni Association will serve an informal barbeque dinner at no charge.

“We expect between 150 to 200 seniors and their parents may attend. The Hawk Talk nights give seniors and parents an opportunity ask questions about our degree programs without having to make a drive to Lawrence,” said Jennifer Green, KU admissions counselor.
