KU professor designs license plate that would raise funds for cancer research
Gregory Thomas, professor and chair of the Department of Design, displays the license
plate he designed to raise funds for cancer research. Sen. Barbara Allen, R-Overland
Park, introduced a bill that would make the specialized plate available to Kansans. Of the
$85.50 cost of the plate, $50 would go to research at the KU Cancer Center.
