The Faint and G. Love & Special Sauce to headline Day on the Hill at KU
Day on the Hill features local and national acts in an all-day concert at the Lied Center.
LAWRENCE — This year’s Day on the Hill concert at the University of Kansas will feature bands The Faint and G. Love & Special Sauce. The annual event, sponsored by Student Union Activities, will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Lied Center Lawn.
The concert will begin with opening bands The Roseline and Pomeroy.
Last year marked the return of Day on the Hill after a four-year hiatus. Day on the Hill started in the 1980s and has featured bands such as They Might Be Giants, The Gin Blossoms and Pearl Jam.
The Faint is a techno-pop band from Omaha, Neb., that has been performing since 1994. G. Love & Special Sauce will be stopping in Lawrence before heading overseas to play more shows.
Tickets for Day on the Hill are now on sale and are free for SUA Preferred Student Card holders, $5 for KU students and $10 for general admission. To purchase tickets, call (785) 864-SHOW or visit the SUA box office in the Kansas Union. Preferred Student Card holders must come to the box office to redeem their tickets.
