Media advisory: U.S. Rep. Nancy Boyda to visit KU
LAWRENCE — U.S. Rep. Nancy Boyda, D-Kan., will visit the University of Kansas campus this week. Media are invited to attend the event, hosted by the Kansas chapter of the American Chemical Society.
WHAT: Boyda will discuss legislation designed to improve math and science education and keep the United States competitive in the global economy. The one-hour program will feature speakers in the order listed below:
Tracy Taylor, president of the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation
Nancy Boyda, Congresswoman for the Kansas 3rd Congressional District
Jim Roberts, KU vice provost for research
Katie Mitchell-Koch, KU graduate student in chemistry and National Science Foundation pre-doctoral fellow

WHERE: Dole Institute of Politics on KU’s west campus (2350 Petefish Drive)
