Media advisory: Three-star general to visit KU

Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV

LAWRENCE — Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV, commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth, will hold an informal question and answer session with University of Kansas students Thursday, Nov. 15. Media are invited to attend the event, hosted by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Before his current assignment, Caldwell was deputy chief of staff for Multinational Force Iraq and served as the effort’s spokesperson. Previously, Caldwell commanded the 82nd Airborne Division, the Army’s elite paratroopers. He also has been a White House fellow and senior military aide to the Undersecretary of Defense.
