Football fans encouraged to donate food items at KU-MU game

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas and the University of Missouri are putting their rivalry to good use.

The Student Alumni Association Boards at both schools are challenging football fans to “Drum Up Support for Harvesters.” Non-perishable food items will be collected during the KU-MU football game Saturday, Nov. 24, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

The food drive will benefit Harvesters, a Kansas City-area food bank. Donations can be made at any entrance gate at Arrowhead or at the KU Alumni Association’s pre-game tailgate between Arrowhead and Kauffman stadiums in the northeast corner of Lot M. Online donations can be made at the Harvesters Web site.
