KU on Wheels and SafeRide hold campus-wide logo contest

LAWRENCE — Attention all KU students! Here's your opportunity to design logos that will be seen by thousands of people every day!

There are two separate contests for the KU on Wheels and SafeRide logos. Students are invited to submit entries to one or both contests. Top logos will be featured online for a student vote. Help design the logos that will be part of KU history. Registration form available online at www.kuonwheels.ku.edu.

Requirements:

• Can be printed legibly in black and white
• Legible in a 1” x 1”  to a 12” x 12 “ size
• Size of file: Minimum 300 dpi
• Type of file: eps, jpeg, gif or tif
• Designer must currently attend KU
• Additional requirements for KU on Wheels contest: Incorporate text “KU on Wheels”
• Additional requirements for SafeRide contest: Incorporate text “SafeRide” and “864-SAFE” and leave space to incorporate the KU on Wheels logo

To submit a logo:

• E-mail to kuonwheels@ku.edu if less than 10 MB or
• Submit a CD of the file to KU Parking and Transit
• Fill out a registration form at www.kuonwheels.ku.edu or at KU Parking and Transit
• Include your name and contact info with logo
• Include black and white and color versions

Prizes:

• The winner’s design will be featured on KU on Wheels maps, Safe Ride cars and other publications of KU on Wheels and Student Senate
• The winner and first runner-up will receive a free annual bus passes for 2007-08
• The second through fourth runners-up will receive free bus passes for fall 2007
• The top 10 designs will be featured on the KU on Wheels Web site

DEADLINE IS NOON, OCT. 3.

Vote for your favorite logos Oct. 8-12.  Final winners will be announced Oct. 17.
