Three KU design students land coveted Hallmark internships
LAWRENCE — Hallmark Cards Inc., recently granted summer internships to three University of Kansas fine arts students. Of the 13 available internships, KU students received more than students from any other school.
Hallmark received more than 550 applications from private and public programs at 23 schools and universities around the country for the internships.
Matt Chase, Wichita sophomore; Kayla Marie Heckman, Shawnee senior; and Laura A. Rottinghaus, Baileyville senior, are the internship recipients. Each is majoring in design with concentrations in visual communications and graphics.
The full-time internships will run from May to August.
