24 police executives attend intensive training seminar at KU center
HUTCHINSON — Twenty-four Kansas law enforcement executives successfully completed the sixth annual Kansas Police Administrators Seminar, held July 27-Aug. 1 at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center near Hutchinson.
The seminar is a joint project of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, a unit of University of Kansas Continuing Education, and the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police.
The intensive training included sessions on advanced community policing and problem solving; strategic planning; budgeting; organizational leadership; internal investigations; leading an ethical organization; background investigations; employee performance evaluations; disciplinary issues; use of force policy; and media relations.
