BACKGROUND: Each year during KU’s spring break, the Natural History Museum invites visitors to drop in to participate in themed activities and demonstrations. The 2008 event, to be held March 17-22, will give visitors an opportunity to learn about sound as they sing in the shower, mimic a crested dinosaur’s call and watch a “sound barbecue,” which combines fire and sound to help visitors see sound waves. The 2007 event, “Playing with Your Food,” drew 4,000 visitors.
The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
