The forum will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 165 Regnier Hall, 12600 Quivira Road, Overland Park. It was organized by the Kansas Board of Regents. Participants will discuss the vital role higher education institutions play in economic growth and the overall success of the state.
Local candidates for state office have been invited to take part in the discussion. They will be joined by Regents President and CEO Reginald Robinson, members of the Board of Regents, KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway, area business leaders and students, faculty, staff and alumni from KU and other institutions.
The four earlier forums were held at Kansas State University, Pittsburg State University, Wichita State University and Washburn University.
