Media advisory: KU Endowment to host donor-recognition event

WHAT: The University Family Donor Recognition Open House will honor University of Kansas faculty, staff and affiliates who have provided financial contributions to the university.

WHERE: The front lawn of the chancellor’s residence, 1532 Lilac Lane (or inside the residence in case of inclement weather).

WHEN: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.

WHO: Chancellor Robert Hemenway, KU Endowment staff and KU donors.

BACKGROUND: This event, which includes refreshments and hors d’oeuvres, was planned to thank university family members for their support of KU. In Fiscal Year 2008, more than 800 faculty and staff at the Lawrence campus provided support to KU.

MEDIA: Members of the media are invited to attend.
