LAWRENCE — University of Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little and William Keel, professor and chair of the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures, issued statements today regarding the death of Montana Huslig, a longtime employee in the German department. Huslig, an administrative associate in the department since 1980, died recently at her home.

Gray-Little: “On behalf of the university community, I extend our deepest condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of Montana Huslig. Her nearly three decades of dedicated service to KU are greatly appreciated and she will be missed.”

Keel: “Montana Huslig served our students and faculty cheerfully for nearly 28 years as secretary for our graduate program. She was a mentor and friend to hundreds of students over that time, guiding them through their career as graduate students at KU. She will be sorely missed. Our sincere condolences are extended to her husband, children, extended family and friends.”
