Honor society plans charity bowling event

More Information

LAWRENCE — Delta Epsilon Iota, a career-focused honor society at the University of Kansas, is hosting a charity bowling event to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network through KU Pediatrics.

The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Jaybowl in the Kansas Union. It is open to KU students, faculty and staff, as well as the public.

The registration deadline is noon April 1. Teams of up to four participants can register at the University Career Center's website. The registration fee is $20 per team. Fees are accepted as cash or check at the University Career Center, 110 Burge Union. Participants will receive free pizza, and prizes will be awarded.

“Our main goal is to raise enough money for a significant contribution to the Children's Miracle Network,” said Nate Phillips, Delta Epsilon Iota president. “With the help of KU students we hope to give back while having fun.”

Children's Miracle Network is a nonprofit organization committed to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals. The organization has more than 170 associated hospitals nationwide and seeks to generate funds and awareness for the health care of young people.

The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
