‘Ace of Cakes’ star Duff Goldman to be speaker for Student Lecture Series
WHAT: Student Union Activities at the University of Kansas will host Duff Goldman for the Student Lecture Series. Goldman is the star of Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes” and owns Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, Md. He will share his personal story about entrepreneurship and talk about his life as a cake artist. Admission is free for KU students and $5 for the public. Tickets are available at the SUA box office in the Kansas Union.
WHO: SUA is a student programming board at KU. The board has programmed events on the KU campus for more than 70 years, and it comprises more than 90 students.
WHEN: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 15
WHERE: Crafton-Preyer Theatre in Murphy Hall
WHY: “Using his classic comedic style, he will share with the audience the importance of following one’s ambitions, no matter how far fetched,” said Kris Velasco, SUA social issues coordinator.
